One of our former players has died suddenly at the age of 63. Richard Banks joined the club in 1971 and played for 3 seasons making 68 appearances, before moving away and playing his cricket and football for Winscombe.
For F&P he scored 1,700 runs, scored a century each year and topped the averages for 2 out of the 3 seasons. He also took 38 catches and made 15 stumpings and was certainly one of the clubs best players at that time. He leaves a wife Ann and two boys to whom we send our deepest sympathy
