A report from the work so far at the ground.
It did look a bit like an old timers reunion but thankfully a couple of younger lads made up the numbers.
Bob 'in charge' Humphreys does not shift earth like you might think a solicitor would.
He really knows how to graft and did a brilliant job in bottom corner behind nets.
Dick, Howard, Mike Cox, John Skinner, George Fellowes, Tom Isom and Charlie Jones put in a
fantastic effort to clear out all the wiring around ground and many of the wooden posts.
Charlie and his dog did an exceptional job clearing all the stuff from the existing playing area
and placed over by the wooden chippings.
Bob has made it clear the more help we can give the 'digger man etc' the cheaper the cost to the club.
Bob Shep put in a good stint on Friday clearing out a lot of barb wire whilst Howard put in several
sessions during the week. To date a number of us are putting in some hard work during the week
and while I understand most of you will be working during the week it would be of great help if some
efforts were made to attend work parties at weekends.
