Loaming the Square
On Sunday morning, the grey army of Failand over 60s met at the ground at 10am and managed to move all the bags of loam from the car park onto the square and spread it, this took them (Dick, Lyndon, Bob Sheppard, John Skinner and Paul Bach) about an hour and it was job done, Wendy was cutting the outfield at the same time. Thanks to "the few", it's a simple task if shared but hard work if left to one or two.

Tour to Pembrokeshire
This was a real treat and well done to those who completed the first ever unbeaten tour of Pembrokeshire. The tour involved surfing, cricket, vortex, coasteering, bbq breakfast, no match fees, tents, Lawrence Singh and a graveyard. Some photos are up on the website News page, www.cricketclubsbristol.co.uk.

Spare Dishwasher?
Some of you may be aware that some of the kitchen units at Failand are being replaced during the winter therefore this would be the perfect opportunity to fit a dishwasher if one was available. If any of you know of anyone who is having a new kitchen or some other source of a second hand dishwasher please let Paul Bachelor or Graham Grey know. As all playing members are required to prepare tea during the season, everyone would benefit from the availability of a dishwasher which is recognised as not just labour saving but the "green" option too!

Furniture
Now is the time when we're all putting our garden furniture away for the winter, so if anyone is thinking of replacing their plastic furniture it would be welcome at Failand where we've had to throw away quite a few broken chairs this summer and others are looking very tatty.
