Waitrose Tokens

Hello there,

We gave the club's details to Waitrose in Portishead over a year ago and have heard today that Failand & Portbury CC will be one of the 3 nominated organisations for the September charity donations scheme. For those who are unfamiliar with this scheme, each month Waitrose give £1,000 to be divided between 3 local organisations, Waitrose shoppers are given a green token each time they shop which can be put into the relevant slot for the organisation of their choice At the end of the month the £1,000 is divided pro rata to the number of tokens collected for each one. We need everyone to visit Waitrose as often as possible in September and collect the tokens, you get one each time irrespective of how much you spend so visit often!!

Please tell your friends about this and encourage everyone to put their tokens in our box. Tokens can be collected from branches of Waitrose in other towns too, just gather as many as possible and if you can't get to the Portishead branch pass them onto one of the Portishead locals. We are regular Waitrose shoppers and nominated the club as a possible recipient, we have been keeping all our tokens ever since just awaiting this day!!

However much or little we receive will be very welcome and will be an effortless way of fundraising.
