Opportunity to visit Grantchester

Don't know whether you get to see the Weston Mercury but I am working with another guy (who's done nothing yet) to bring county cricket back to Weston. Will only be a one-day game as, from next year, there will only be eight 4-day games at Taunton and SCCC won't want any of them to get away from the home ground.

We reckon that we'll need to raise a significant sum to tempt SCCC but the Weston club (you probably know it) has a superb wicket and excellent alround facilities including indoor nets. A couple of years ago we organised a very successful testimonial for Marcus T. Anyway, as a fundraising curtain-raiser I have organised a coach trip to Lord & Lady Archer's house at Grantchester on 12th September at £50 a seat if you'd like to go. I know it's expensive but I am trying to maximise the opportunity to raise a significant sum and, after all, it's a one-off opportunity. We'll be shown round by J Archer himself and I hope that Mary will be there, too. They'll be laying on soft drinks, tea, coffee, biscuits etc and we'll stop on the way home for a bite to eat.
