While Marcus Trescothick was flaying Worcestershire’s bowlers about this weekend at Taunton (105 from 57 balls) Mark Walker’s innings at Failand really grabbed the headlines.

In Division One, Mark Walker put on a savage display of hitting in his unbeaten 123, which allowed Failand & Portbury to amass a daunting 316-3 against Carsons/Mangotsfield. Walker clubbed 15 sixes and 5 fours and was not the only one among the runs as opener Simon Bachelor made 79 and Hugo Hanchet an undefeated 68.Carsons/Mangotsfield suffered a comprehensive 203-run defeat as George Humphreys took 4-23 and Tom Isom 3-11.

Mark hit 123* from 41 balls including 15 sixes.
